Red/Green (aka Gruul) has one main strategy in cube,with is ramp and drop something big. The deck archetype I’m talking about today works heavily in that vein.
The core of the deck is three cards:
The idea is to ramp, usually with artifacts and the turn before one of the above cards, drop a big creature that will survive. Wipe the board and cripple to opponent’s mana, then swing with your big dude to end things.
Due to the requirement for ramp and big dudes, green is the most natural pairing.
